The Clean Energy Scam

From the assigned reading, the dependence on oil is an evident threat to global economies.  The human dependence on oil has now ceased to be an issue of carbon emission, and is now creating more environmental problems.  Millions of acres are dedicated to growing corn, and other plants that are engineered not for human consumption, but to fuel vehicles.  To fill an SUV with corn based ethanol depletes the amount the average person would consume in an entire year.  Althought bio-fuel is an alternative to foreign oil dependence, it is clearly a temporary solution to a much more intricate problem.  More money should be invested in developing already existing alternative technologies to avoid this oil addiction.
